HOUSE.

House of Productions is an Atlanta based production house and artist collective. The company’s purpose is to create and share stories of the African Diaspora.  It was founded in 2018 by Kerri Garrett, Quenten McNair, and Daryus Hawkins at Clark Atlanta University. In 2020, the company received its first grant to produce Longshot: Atlanta, a five part dance visual series. Since then, the company has created work for brands like Rise Brewing, SONOS, Telfar, Tsunaminks, Hall of Art, and more.

HoP’s films have screened at Vancouver Queer Film Festival, ATL Film Party, and Black Endurance. HoP writes, produces, and directs film and media content that uplift and empower the Black community, with a spotlight on Black LGBTQ+.

THE FAMILY

Kerri Garrett
Mutha/CEO/Founder

Kerri Garrett is an multidisciplinary artist from Columbus, Ohio, based out of Atlanta, Georgia. A Clark Atlanta University alumnus, she intertwines the art forms of dance, film, and fashion to create compelling narratives about the black experience. From stage to screen, Kerri can be seen on multiple platforms showcasing her acting abilities. Some of her theatrical credits include: The Bluest Eye, School Girl; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, 360 Degrees of Blackness, and Hand's Up. In 2020, she was a recipient of the Alliance Theatre’s Reiser Lab. A powerful movement artist, Kerri’s choreographic work has been performed at institutions like Atlanta Contemporary, Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, University of West Georgia, and The Movement Lab. She has worked with numerous choreographers such as China White, T Lang, Micaela Taylor, Kathleen Wessel, Victor Rojas, Dacia James, Jaquel Knight, and Lyrik London. She has performed with companies like staibdance and AODO & Co. In 2020, Kerri was a recipient of Fulton County's Virtual Arts Initiative Grant for her project, Longshot: Atlanta. She executive produced, directed, styled and co-choreographed the five-part dance visual series. The work has screened at Vancouver Queer Film Festival, ATL Film Party, and Black Endurance. Kerri has been a grant recipient of Idea Capital, Wussy Mag x SFQP, NBAF Artist Project Fund, and Fulton Arts and Culture Grant. She is currently creating and producing works with her production house and artist collective, House of Productions.

Kerri Garrett

Quenten McNair
King Pen/Founder

Quenten McNair is a screenwriter and actor based in Atlanta, GA. He began writing at the tender age of 10 with his first play He Has Risen which opened at a local church in Miami, FL. He continued pursuing writing and acting at Clark Atlanta University, excelling in both fields. Quenten currently serves as the Head of Writing at House of Productions in Atlanta. He is exceptionally passionate about writing inspiring stories of the Black, Queer experience.

Kendra Garrett
Marketing Guru

Kendra Garrett, Public Relations and Communications professional, works as Marketing Producer for House of Productions. Kendra is from Columbus, Ohio and currently based in Atlanta, Georgia. A graduate of Franklin University and a career that has spanned many industries, Kendra has consulted for Ohio-based companies such as Nationwide Insurance, GROOVE U, Columbus Young Professionals Club and Jumpstart Inc. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Kendra has worked with companies like The Collaborative Firm and PureRed while being able to pursue more artistic endeavors. In addition to leading marketing efforts for ‘Longshot: Atlanta’ with House of Productions, Kendra also provides onsite vegan catering for talent. Currently, Kendra works as a Corporate Communication Consultant for a national bank.

Daryus Hawkins
House Cinematographer

Daryus Hawkins is a Director/Cinematographer who has been working professionally in the film industry since 2012. Daryus earned his BA Degree in Mass Media Arts with a concentration on Film & Television from the illustrious Clark Atlanta University in 2019. While in undergrad, Daryus created several short films, two of which have won the Campus MovieFest Jury Award in 2017 & 2018. His filmwork has also been broadcasted through notable networks such as, BET, VEVO, Amazon Prime & Bossip. Daryus Hawkins resides now in Atlanta,Georgia where he continues to work in the film production industry as a member of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 as a Camera Utility.
